About This Conference

From June 19-22, 2018, Geographic Solutions will host the 15th Annual Workforce Technology Conference, highlighting online software solutions developed for job seekers, employers, state and local workforce staff, labor market analysts, economic development professionals, career counselors, and training providers across the country.

The 2018 agenda will feature informative presentations by industry leaders and Geographic Solutions staff, as well as discussion groups covering topics including:

Staff Speakers

Paul Toomey

President

Mr. Toomey has over 25 years of experience in information systems, programming, analysis, management and Geographic Information Systems for state and local governments in the U.S. and overseas. He has extensive experience with workforce and LMI solutions, reporting, and data integration for large projects with multiple platforms. He invented several software application concepts that have innovated workforce processes.

Deane Toler

Director of Sales and Marketing

Mr. Toler has over 15 years of experience promoting, developing, and implementing new technologies within service industries. He is an experienced project coordinator with a background in management consulting to one-stop centers and assisting in the transition to Workforce Investment Act initiatives. Mr. Toler's experience includes cultivating strategic community and media relationships to promote the benefits of automated employment and training services to the public.

Rusty Kath

Conference Emcee

Rusty Kath has been entertaining large crowds as a live event host for over a decade. From black-tie galas to calling professional wrestling matches, Rusty’s resume is diverse to say the least. He has also made a name for himself as one of the most sought-after in-arena hosts in sports. Rusty has entertained fans on the video board with the Tampa Bay Rays, Minnesota Wild and Twins, U.S. Figure Skating, and a bevy of other teams and events. This will be his third year as the emcee for the Workforce Technology Conference.

Shannon Ramaeker

LMI Project Manager

Ms. Ramaeker began her career with the State of Nebraska producing Mass Layoff Statistics and Local Area Unemployment Statistics. In her work with the state, she was responsible for providing regional labor market research and analysis to key stakeholders; including the state Workforce Investment Board, as well as provided oversight for the states, Workforce Information grant and the ARRA Green Jobs LMI Improvement Grant research activities.

Tampa International Airport (TPA) is located approximately 20 miles (40 minutes) from the hotel. St. Petersburg / Clearwater International Airport is approximately 12 miles (20 minutes) away. Conference attendees will be responsible for their own ground transportation to and from the local airports.

Wyndham Clearwater Beach Resort Parking: $20 overnight / $10 daily. Public parking is also available at an hourly rate. The Wyndham does not have a dedicated shuttle service to and from the Tampa International Airport (TPA) and the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Airport (PIE). * Please note that the Wyndham Clearwater Beach Resort does not have a dedicated shuttle service available. Please call ahead to confirm availability for rental cars, shuttle services, or utilize a taxi, Lyft, or Uber service.
