We invite agency veterans and newcomers alike to come together and explore the intricacies of employment. We know Workforce is in the name, but this conference is so much more than just workforce. This year’s program is a meld of sessions on workforce development, labor market information, economic development, unemployment insurance, vocational rehabilitation, education, human services, reentry initiatives, partner programs, and much, much more!

Geographic Solutions Holds Largest Workforce Technology Conference to Date

PALM HARBOR, FL – (October 10, 2022) – After two years of virtual conferences, Geographic Solutions recently welcomed workforce development, unemployment insurance, labor market information, human services, and education professionals in person to the 2022 Workforce Technology Conference in Clearwater Beach, Florida. This year’s record-breaking attendance totaled close to 300 attendees, representing 38 states and 109 distinct agencies. In addition to the regular conference schedule, a group of 96 attendees participated in pre-conference training on new features, reporting, and labor market tools in VOS Sapphire.

The 2022 conference marked the largest in terms of attendance – bringing professionals from all across the country and beyond, including as far as Ireland and the Northern Mariana Islands. The 2022 conference agenda featured a variety of general sessions, panel discussions, and at times, up to six breakout tracks at once.

Industry leaders and Geographic Solutions subject matter experts presented on a variety of topics, with a focus on the integration of federal workforce programs. Session topics included unemployment insurance, labor market data, case management, student career solutions, legislative updates, no-touch solutions, reentry employment initiatives, federal reporting, best practices, and more.

In addition, attendees had the chance to network with state and local agencies from around the country, as well as participate in real-time voting and roundtable discussions on the future of the Geographic Solutions' product line. The 2022 conference also welcomed back popular emcee, Rusty Kath, for the fifth year and featured CEO of The Center of Work Ethic Development, Josh Davies, who delivered an inspiring keynote address on embracing change and building a successful workforce.

PALM HARBOR, FL (April 20, 2022) – Geographic Solutions is pleased to announce the reconvening of the annual Workforce Technology Conference (WTC) in Clearwater Beach, FL from October 4-6, 2022. Optional pre-conference training will be offered on October 3, 2022. The 2022 WTC will showcase the latest software solutions offered by the company to promote wide-ranging economic recovery nationwide.

The 2022 WTC is directed at workforce development staff, administrators, case managers, corrections professionals, unemployment insurance professionals, higher education administrators and educators, career counselors, and labor market information specialists from around the country. This event focuses on solutions we’ve developed to overcome the challenges often faced by these specialists. The 2022 WTC provides an exclusive opportunity to hear from experts and industry leaders while affording an opportunity to come together for learning, sharing best practices, and networking.

This year’s conference agenda will be packed with exciting, educational, and dynamic content. Showcasing over 85 industry and subject matter expert speakers, the agenda will offer hands-on system demonstrations, panel discussions, and think-tank sessions. Social mixers during and after the breakout sessions are curated to expand your professional network.

Important Announcement Regarding 2020 Workforce Technology Conference

At Geographic Solutions, our primary focus is on the health, safety, and well-being of our clients, users, and employees. We have been closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation as it unfolds and we have come to the decision to reschedule the 2020 Workforce Technology Conference. The conference has officially been rescheduled for June 7-10, 2021 in Clearwater Beach, Florida. The host hotel will remain the Wyndham Grand Resort.

At this time, we would like to reach out to you to explain our plan moving forward and the options that are available to you as an attendee and/or speaker. For those of you who had already secured a registration to the 2020 Workforce Technology Conference, we thank you immensely for your plan to join us. Below are the alternatives that are available to you. Of course, if these scenarios do not work for you or your agency, we encourage you to contact us.

Registration (Option #1)

You may transfer your standing registration for the 2020 conference to the 2021 conference automatically. There will be no increase in registration cost (from year to year) and no need to re-submit a registration for 2021. We would also be flexible if your agency would need to switch out one attendee’s name for another (in the event that someone changes roles or agencies).

Registration (Option #2)

If agency funding restrictions do not allow you to transfer your registration to 2021, we will cancel your registration and issue you a full refund. If you have already remitted payment for your invoice, please email Candace Cobb at CCobb@geosolinc.com and we can work with you on processing your refund. If you have registered (and have yet to pay your invoice), please still inform us of your cancellation request. Please allow two days for our Accounting Team to complete your refund.

Travel and Hotel Bookings

Due to the current national emergency, the entire country is being restricted and/or limited in making travel arrangements. As a courtesy to our attendees who were booked to stay at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach Resort, all rooms associated with our room block will be automatically cancelled. Please be aware that the Wyndham will be issuing refunds for any processed fees to your credit card on file – as a result of a reservation hold.

If you choose to visit Clearwater Beach in June, the Wyndham Grand Resort has graciously offered to honor the contracted rate of $209/night plus tax. You will need to contact the hotel directly to rebook your room, referencing the Geographic Solutions 2020 Workforce Technology Conference room block. (The negotiated rate will only be honored for bookings that take place from June 14 - 18, 2020.)

If you made reservations with another nearby hotel or ancillary accommodation service, you will need to handle the cancellations on your own. If you already booked a plane ticket, most airlines seem to be flexible in rescheduling or canceling – and again, that would be up to you (or your travel department) to coordinate.

For those of you who were slated to present at this year’s conference, we would like to extend an invitation for you to speak at the 2021 conference. Over the next week, our team will be reaching out to you to coordinate this effort. We thank you for your willingness to contribute to our agenda, and we look forward to working with you in 2021, if your schedule allows.

The wheels are in motion and we are already planning another stellar event for 2021. We can promise that by the time 2021 rolls around, we will have plenty of agenda content, exciting speakers, and cutting-edge functionality to present to you.
