Giving Back

Helping Build Strong and Vibrant Communities

Giving back is one of our main core values and an important part of our company’s foundation. Not only are we dedicated to supporting our local community of Palm Harbor and the surrounding Tampa Bay area, but we also partner with organizations outside our region to make an impact in as many places as we can. Our employees are personally committed to making a positive difference and participate in many programs and initiatives that help improve the quality of life for others.

A project near and dear to our hearts is the Treasures of Africa Children’s Home in Tanzania. The home provides loving care, nutritious food, and education for orphaned and abandoned children. Geographic Solutions sponsors the orphanage regularly through fundraising events, collection efforts, and employee mission trips.

Investing in the Future of Technology

And Supporting Local Area Students

Financially supporting high school youth who are interested in technology is extremely important to us. In December 2016, the employees of Geographic Solutions established the Paul Toomey IT Scholarship – to recognize a deserving high school senior who is actively pursuing a career in a computer-related field of study.

Not only does the scholarship give students an opportunity to pursue their dreams, but it creates and encourages students to return to the Tampa Bay Area post-graduation – which further strengthens our technology landscape.

The scholarship, now in its ninth year, is funded by employee contributions and doubled with a 100 percent match by Paul Toomey, himself. As our employee count grows, so has our collection effort. In 2023, Geographic Solutions’ collection efforts increased, and the scholarship was awarded to four recipients. Pictured below are the current and past recipients of the Paul Toomey IT Scholarship.

For more information, see the list for financial aid and scholarships on the Pinellas County Schools, Hillsborough County Schools, and Pasco County Schools  websites each January. Applicants are notified in April of each year by email and formal letter.

Making a Philanthropic Footprint

One Cause at a Time

Our company is always looking for new ways to support community growth and well-being. Food and supply drives, charity runs, fundraisers, student scholarships, and volunteer days are just a few of the ways we are getting involved and lending a hand to those who are less fortunate.
