The Hawaii Department of Labor and Industrial Relations ("DLIR") has selected Geographic Solutions to provide a web-based Labor Exchange and Case Management Virtual OneStop software solution that will revolutionize the way Hawaii job seekers' learn about available jobs, how Hawaii employers' hire employees, and how Hawaii One-Stop staff assist users and perform case management.
The state-of-the-art system, called the Hire Hawaii Virtual OneStop Center becomes the twelfth statewide system using Virtual OneStop components for WIA, Wagner-Peyser and federal reporting. The system is designed to attract a broad range of job seekers and to assist employers in Hawaii by providing a pool of talent that possesses the skills they need. Job seekers and employers in Hawaii will use Hire Hawaii Virtual OneStop to access a wide array of employment related services including job searches, resume development, skills matching, job market information, job postings, and candidate searches. The Virtual OneStop system also includes a full case management system to assist DLIR staff in effectively managing their federal workforce programs and submitting performance and management reports to the federal government.
Hawaii joins a network of states that have implemented Geographic Solutions' Virtual OneStop software to provide employment services to their communities. The existing Virtual OneStop User Group provides Hawaii with access to a network of workforce professionals to share ideas and best practices, further enhancing the value of services offered through Virtual OneStop to employers and job seekers in the state.
