During the station's "Putting You to Work Wednesday" segment, Marco Paredes with Kern County Employers' Training Resource discussed how Californians can use CalJOBS to search and apply for employment opportunities, create résumés, explore training options, and access workforce services. Employers can also use the platform to post job openings and connect with qualified candidates.
Paredes highlighted an upcoming NetxGen Job Fair designed to connect young adults in Kern County with employment opportunities and workforce resources.
CalJOBS is used by more than 1.1 million Californians each year, along with employers, training providers, workforce professionals, and California Employment Development Department staff. Geographic Solutions has been selected by EDD to help develop the next generation of the platform, with a focus on creating a more accessible, reliable, and customer-focused experience.
