Geographic Solutions announces a partnership with Dynamic Works Institute to offer four key Dynamic Works Institute online courses accessed through the Virtual OneStop system. The Virtual OneStop suite of solutions now includes an exceptional training module written for workforce staff that features professional development courses. The introductory online courses are:

  • In-depth Look at the Workforce Investment Act - A comprehensive course walking the student through Title I of the Workforce Investment Act.
  • Career Development - Understand the process by which individuals define their career goals. Be able to identify the kinds of information individuals need in order to make realistic career decisions and where that information can be found.
  • Better Requests for Proposals for Better Projects - Start your project off on the right foot! Build a Request for Proposals (RFP) that will spell success.
  • Meeting the Needs of the Business Customer - Addresses the important issue of providing services and linkages to the business customer side of the workforce equation.
  • "Our mission is to develop innovative software and services to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of workforce development organizations in the U.S.," says Paul Toomey, President of Geographic Solutions. "Dynamic Works' goal is investing resources to enhance the education and development of workforce professionals. Therefore, by encouraging staff members to expand their knowledge, this will continue a lifelong learning process, increase staff excellence, and help both firms effectively achieve their missions."

The strategic alignment of Geographic Solutions and the Dynamic Works Institute supplies another vital piece in the workforce puzzle for managers struggling with limited funds to increase staff knowledge. The advantage of the additional module is professional development that is cost-effective and easily transferred to a new or existing Virtual OneStop system.
