Geographic Solutions, Inc. announced today that the State of South Carolina has selected its Virtual OneStop System to provide employment and training services via the Internet.
Virtual OneStop is a comprehensive One-Stop Operating System providing core and intensive services mandated by the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998. The system will provide job seekers information on careers, training providers, job listings, and labor market information. Employers can review industry trends, post job openings and search for qualified job candidates. Virtual OneStop also features fully integrated case management as well as system administration with WIA reporting.
Virtual OneStop will be the primary customer access point for employment-related and training services for the one-stop centers in all twelve of the state's Local Workforce Investment Areas. The South Carolina Virtual OneStop will be available at no charge to anyone with access to the Internet and will be a valuable tool in effectively bridging the gap between job opportunities and the pool of qualified workers.
By serving a significant number of customers via an unattended Internet based system, the South Carolina Virtual OneStop will allow Case Managers and Counselors to spend more time with clients and deliver improved service to customers requiring more assistance.
