Geographic Solutions recently welcomed workforce development, labor market information, unemployment insurance, and higher education professionals from throughout the country and beyond to the 16th Annual Workforce Technology Conference in Monterey, California. This year's attendee roster totaled over 225 attendees, representing 33 states and over 105 distinct agencies. A group of 80 attendees also participated in the pre-conference training on new features, reporting, and labor market tools in Virtual OneStop.

The largest Workforce Technology Conference ever held in California in terms of attendance, the conference kicked off in full swing with a packed schedule. The conference agenda featured a variety of general sessions, panel discussions, and at times, up to seven breakout tracks at once – giving attendees more presentations to choose from than ever before!

A Focus on Integration

Industry leaders and Geographic Solutions subject matter experts presented on a variety of topics, with a focus on the integration of federal workforce programs. Session topics included unemployment insurance, labor market data, case management, legislative updates, student career solutions, staff efficiency tools, federal reporting, best practices, and more.
In addition, attendees had the chance to network with state and local agencies from around the country, as well as participate in real-time voting and roundtable discussions on the future of the Geographic Solutions' product line. The 2019 conference also welcomed back popular emcee Rusty Kath for the fourth straight year, and featured CEO and Founder of Bounce Australia/Bounce USA, Maria Smith, who delivered an inspiring address on emotional intelligence.
